Regiments Capital has been awarded the “Emerging Company in the Financial Services Sector” award by the Association of Black Securities and Investment Professionals (ABSIP) at its annual awards presentation and gala dinner held recently in Johannesburg.
Established in 2004, Houghton-based Regiments Capital has over the past eight years developed a strong reputation as a highly effective and innovative financial services specialist with a particular focus on the public sector. It has advised on transactions worth more than R50 billion over this period and has advised a wide range of national, provincial and local government entities as well as state owned corporations.
Regiments Capital won this special award from ABSIP due to its transaction volumes, its consistent performance in terms of industry growth and innovation, its growing assets under management, its corporate finance interactions and involvements and its strong Broad-Based Black Economic Empowerment rating. Other factors influencing the award were Regiments Capital’s commitment to Corporate Social Investment and community development through a range of projects and initiatives.
“This is a great award for us to receive as it confirms to us that we are making a real and tangible difference in our society, something that we are passionate about doing,” said Litha Nyhonyha, Regiments Capital’s executive chairman.
“Our ambition is not just to be another financial services company, but to be a leading light in assisting various levels of the public sector to fulfill their mandate to society through the provision of world class infrastructure. This award shows us that we are on the right track and it motivates us to continue seeking ways to leverage our skills and offerings to maximize their impact on South Africa‘s socio-economic development “.
